It will even run for 30-45 minutes at a time. This machine happens to be an actual MacPro3,1 and it's in my physical possession. Repairing it was not worth it to the original owner so he's given the machine to me. I've just been given an *actual* 2008 Mac Pro that's somewhat flaky - after it runs for a while it 'loses' half its RAM. It is set to identify itself as a MacPro3,1. I've had problems getting iMessage and FaceTime, etc., working but it did well enough that I generally didn't care. Like most others, I made the transition to 10.11 using Clover.
